Pro-Ject Audio Systems, as a proud company, had the honor of representing Austria at the EXPO 2025 World Exhibition in Osaka/Japan. They presented their products together with a performance by the world-famous chamber orchestra "Camerata Salzburg". In honor of the deep cultural relationship with Japan, a limited model of the Debut turntable in traditional Japanese colors was produced and exhibited as the main exhibit. This very special turntable is now available in limited numbers for all music enthusiasts and interested collectors.

The design of the turntable is very simple and the colors (red / white) symbolize the Japanese national flag. This special turntable is based on the DEBUT PRO S B model and is made of the highest quality materials: MDF, steel, aluminum and carbon. Plastic is not used due to its adverse effects on sound quality. The result is a simple, aesthetically original product of premium quality with great sound and high collector's value.

DEBUT PRO S BALANCED - SYMMETRIC OUTPUT + S ARM

DEBUT turntables always represent an extraordinary performance/price ratio, which has won them a huge number of fans. DEBUT PRO S BALANCED is aiming even higher and comes with an interesting innovation that significantly advances the potential and affects the resulting sound quality. The letter S in the name means that it was equipped with an 8.6" aluminum S-shaped tonearm, and the word BALANCED in the name means that the turntable's output is compatible with the TRUE BALANCED symmetrical connection. To make this possible, the turntable had to be supplemented with a symmetrical output with a mini XLR connector.

Debut PRO S BALANCED is equipped with an 8.6" aluminum S-type tonearm and guarantees a high degree of rigidity and perfect groove tracking. Thanks to the unified SME mount, a separate headshell or a directly compatible cartridge can be connected to the tonearm. The arm design allows for audiophile features such as azimuth or vertical tracking angle (VTA) adjustment. The arm height can be adjusted if necessary by loosening two adjustment screws. This allows the arm to adapt to changes in height, e.g. when using different types of LP pads or alternative cartridges, in order to achieve the best sound quality under all conditions. Adaptive anti-skating has also been newly used, which continuously reacts to the playing conditions. The metal components of the arm are CNC milled with the highest possible precision, and the satin black paintwork of the aluminum parts elevates the turntable to a product with the highest level of aesthetics.

PICK IT 2M WHITE CARTRIDGE

A key aspect of any turntable is maximum neutrality. The color, temperature and liveliness are then influenced by a quality cartridge. The pre-installed Pick-it 2M WHITE cartridge with an elliptical tip with its white color not only perfectly matches the design of the turntable, but also delivers an exciting musical sound full of details and opens up hidden spaces of the sound stage. Thanks to the MM principle, it is compatible with most phono preamplifiers.

SOPHISTICATED POWER SUPPLY

The switching power supply supplied with the turntable powers a precise DC/AC generator that drives the motor. Advanced motor speed control via the generator ensures optimal synchronization and speed stability. Creating a precise sine wave guarantees a clean power supply, which ultimately means better stability of the platter rotation speed.

SPEED CONTROL

The Debut PRO S BALANCED has an integrated electronic speed control, as 9" and high-quality 45 rpm records are becoming increasingly popular and common due to their excellent sound quality. In addition to being able to easily change the playback speed by simply flipping a switch, the platter rotation speed is electronically controlled with maximum precision, resulting in the most accurate and stable playback. By moving the belt to a smaller pulley for 78 rpm, you can also listen to your shellac record collection at any time and you are ready to enjoy an extraordinary musical experience.

INTERNALLY DAMPED PLATFORM + ALUMINUM SUB PLATFORM

The TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) damping technology helps to dampen resonances very effectively, and also increases the weight of the die-cast aluminum platter. Because the TPE damping is installed on the inside of the rim platter, the kinetic energy creates a flywheel effect. The result is much quieter and more stable operation with significantly lower speed fluctuations. The diamond-cut aluminum sub-platter then further minimizes deviation, fluctuations and overall speed accuracy. The metal sub-platter is heavier than the commonly used bakelite, and thus further increases the weight of the platter and drive system. As a result, this dampens unwanted resonances and reduces noise.

SYMMETRIC CONNECTION OF THE GRAMOPHONE

Gramophones, as sensitive devices, are today affected by interference from many electromagnetic fields. The cause is wireless networks and a number of electronic devices in the modern household. The connection between the turntable and the amplifier via an RCA cable is extremely susceptible to this interference. This so-called "electrosmog" can adversely affect the weak phono signal and be the cause of noise when playing music. The DEBUTO PRO S BALANCED turntable is supplied as standard with a well-shielded cable with semi-symmetrical geometry Connect It with RCA connectors, which reduces the unwanted influence of electrosmog. However, there is an even more effective way to ensure a clean signal without interference, which is a symmetrical connection. This guarantees that the signal will not be affected by interference and the sound will have better dynamics and a lower noise level.

The construction of the DEBUT PRE S BALANCED turntable is carefully tuned and the standard RCA output is additionally supplemented by a balanced output with a mini XLR connector. It offers the possibility of connecting with professional parameters, previously unseen in this price class. The turntable is ready for such a connection and to take advantage of the advantages of this connection, you only need to follow a few principles. First of all, it is necessary to have an MC type cartridge installed or a special MM cartridge Pro-Ject Pick it PRO Balanced (not included in the delivery) and to use a fully balanced cable and a balanced turntable preamplifier for the connection.
