CL-BOX A31 is a network player that allows you to play internet radio, podcasts and music files from local or network (NAS) storage to an existing audio setup. It also includes Bluetooth connectivity. The device is controlled using the 4STREAM or AUDIOCAST or SMART SONIX application, which you can download for free in the relevant online store. The package also includes an IR remote control, allowing you to switch modes, adjust volume, 2-band corrections and control the selection and playback of songs via BT.
The player streams music content directly via Wifi/LAN. It contacts the music source directly (also on the Internet) based on a command from the streaming application. Streaming takes place directly from the music source to the player and the application itself is then no longer needed (it can be turned off).
Several such players can be logged into LAN or Wifi at the same time, thus obtaining a comprehensive multiroom sound system. In the streaming application, you can then see all players at once. And you choose what and where to stream.
In multiroom use, it is possible to operate in SOLO mode (different music to different devices) or MULTI (selected devices are synchronized in content).
In addition to the stereo AUX (jack3.5mm) output, the device also includes a digital optical (toslink) output.
