Sound system for stadiums and sports venues

When it comes to professional sound systems for stadiums, fields, halls and other sports venues, it is crucial to ensure a sufficiently strong and intelligible sound. The basis is appropriate sound systems for the stands, but it is also necessary to consider the sound systems for the playing field and the background, i.e. the changing rooms, VIP zone, buffet, gym or areas intended for regeneration. The choice of audio equipment depends on the size and structure of the space. However, the sound system itself remains essentially the same, it is only a matter of the scope and type of equipment used.
Amplifiers
For sound systems for smaller stadiums and sports venues, you can use the PM240 wall-mounted amplifier with a built-in handheld wireless microphone, USB/SD/MP3 player and Bluetooth connection. This comprehensive amplifier with a power of 240W is located in a metal lockable cabinet for 100V distribution with the option of low-impedance connection 4-16 ohm. An undemanding and simple solution for sound systems in municipal stadiums.
To achieve professional sound in larger stadiums, sports fields and halls, we recommend using more powerful amplifiers or radio stations that provide music playback from various inputs (MP3 files from USB or SD card, radio stations, Bluetooth connection to a smartphone). If interested, it is also possible to add internet radios.
Zone sound system for sports venues
If you want to have different music playing in different parts of a sports venue, you need to consider multiroom devices that can divide the space into zones. You can play different music in the stands, different music in the VIP zone, different music in the locker rooms or buffet, etc. When choosing the right audio equipment, it again depends on how many zones you need to sound in the selected space. Our range of multiroom matrix amplifiers includes enough products for different solutions.
Microphones for sports venues
Wireless, tabletop or headset microphones are used to communicate with fans. It depends on whether you need freedom of movement for communication or whether you occupy a static position. Microphones are usually placed in the commentary, sound or technical room, from where the interaction with fans takes place.
If you move around the playing field, in the stands or in the technical facilities with a microphone, you will need wireless microphones with a long range:
If you communicate with fans from one location, such as a commentary booth, table microphones such as:
If you need to have your hands free for any reason, you can use headset microphones, which are also used by professional commentators. We recommend this one from our offer:
Speakers and their placement
It is also advisable to consider variants for individual zones when it comes to speakers. Different speakers are suitable for the stands, others for the VIP zone, changing rooms or buffet.
To provide sound on the playing field, it is necessary to use weather-resistant outdoor speakers with sufficient power. We commonly use 2-way pressure speakers H6400 with IP66 protection and a grille that prevents birds from building nests.
For sufficient coverage and sound propagation in the stands, it is advisable to use evenly spaced outdoor speakers. For smaller stands, we commonly use passive 2-way speaker systems WIP660R or SONORA-8TB. For larger stadiums and stands, we use more powerful speaker systems such as AQUA-12TG. The number and placement of speakers depends on the specifics of the space, so an initial inspection and consultation is necessary.
For the stadium's interior, i.e. for the interiors, we are considering two options - passive ceiling speakers or passive suspended loudspeaker systems. The choice is up to the customer's preferences and should correspond to the architecture of the premises.
A common solution for professional clubs is a line array sound system, where identical loudspeakers are usually suspended in the space and oriented so that the entire stadium is covered. Anyone who goes to large concerts or festivals has certainly encountered them here. If you are interested in such a solution, we can also provide it to you, just contact us.
Portable sound system for sports venues
If you only need to solve simple sound problems for occasional small events at a sports venue, the simplest solution is portable battery-powered loudspeaker systems. Their battery life on a single charge reaches several hours, they usually also include a microphone/s, they are easy to handle and you can choose the power according to your preferences. A convenient solution for events such as children's day, end of season, summer friendly tournament, etc.
