High-quality sound system is a desirable element not only in commercial spaces, but also in historical or cultural objects, which certainly include churches. Believers need to clearly hear the spoken word during mass, which is probably the most important moment, why reach for high-quality sound system in spiritual spaces as well.

In addition to interior sound systems, at BS Acoustic we can also supply other additional products for churches, such as electronic bells or carillons, digital dials or portable sound equipment that can be used, for example, in processions, Ways of the Cross, etc.

Interior sound system of churches

When choosing sound systems for the interiors of churches, we are usually limited by the architecture of the building, which must be sensitively assessed and a solution designed that will harmonize as much as possible with the materials used and the sacred decoration. In this case, the less we see and the more we hear, the better.

Since each church is specific with its own architecture, individual solutions are also diverse and difficult to generalize. However, thanks to our more than 30 years of experience, we know which solution is more suitable for churches and which is less.

Quality microphones are the basis of success. Gone are the days when a priest had to make do with his own voice when preaching from the pulpit. In our offer you will find condenser and dynamic table microphones designed to provide clear and high-quality sound. In churches, we use special gooseneck microphones from renowned suppliers, which fulfill their role not only from a technical point of view, but also from an aesthetic point of view. Some desk microphones are almost invisible.

The articulated interior of churches with high ceilings and often several halls encourages the use of column-mounted 100V loudspeakers evenly distributed throughout the space. Thanks to their narrow and tall body, they are not a distracting element and, when choosing a suitable color, they blend nicely with the environment. We offer indoor and outdoor 100V column speakers.

In sacral objects, we often deal with a long reverberation time. However, we can solve this problem with a suitable speaker system, or by using digital devices, thanks to which we can achieve the desired coverage of the space. The most modern way is to use active speakers with a DSP system, which hides high-quality feedback suppression. Thanks to these advanced technologies, we can achieve truly surprising results.

For loudspeakers, we recommend using a software-controlled mixer with automatic mixing that requires minimal maintenance. It is necessary to connect at least 5 devices to set up really high-quality sound.

The last element necessary for high-quality church sound is a power (end) amplifier, the specification of which depends on the desired performance and the loudspeakers used, in terms of type and number.

Electronic bells and chimes

Electronic bells and carillons are another solution for high-quality and modern church sound equipment. In the event that the church does not have classic bells or cannot be used for some reason, electronic bells enter the scene, which fully replace the classic ones. The carillon is a pleasant diversion during the Christmas period, when thanks to it it is possible to set several different Christmas melodies and play them at the set time.

Bells and chimes can be set thanks to the ITC MPT240 amplifier with a time scheduler for broadcasting for the whole week. You save the desired sounds and melodies on an SD card, which you insert into the marked slot.

As for the loudspeakers, the commonly used variant is the 2-way pressure loudspeakers, which are usually placed in the church tower, on all four sides of the world. This will achieve full coverage of the entire territory of the village or city. Pressure speakers have an IP66 protection guaranteeing protection against rain.

Digital dials

One of the electronic elements that you can see in perhaps every church are dials. They are used to inform the faithful about the number of the psalm or song that is currently being sung. In our offer you will find wireless dials in a discreet design with a remote control for convenient number switching. Thanks to the discreet design and the thickness of only 35 mm, they do not visually disturb church visitors, but at the same time the numbers are very easy to read even from a greater distance.

Portable sound system

During the year, there are several situations when believers participate in sacraments or masses outside the church premises. In such a case, it can be difficult for the priest to ensure that all the faithful can hear him well enough, especially in bad weather. Portable battery systems are the ideal solution in such a case. Their usual part is one or more microphones, either hand-held wired and wireless, or in some cases also headset. Battery life is calculated for hours, so battery systems are more than sufficient in this regard as well. Of course, portable battery systems can also be used indoors.
