Pro-Ject CD Box DS3 silver UNI CD player

Standalone CD players, unlike DVD or Blu-ray players, often provide higher quality when playing stereo CDs. The CD player is specially optimized for playing the Red Book CDDA standard in a 1: 1 ratio. The robust mechanism is very resistant to vibration and the servo system allows real-time scanning with minimal jitter.

Texas Instrument PCM1796 DAC

The CD Box DS3 can become an important device that will find its place in modern stereo systems, because it is more than just a regular CD player. Compared to the previous model, the extremely high-quality Texas Instruments PCM1796 DAC converter has been newly implemented precisely because of its excellent sound quality. In the past, there have been many new DACs, especially to achieve higher bit resolution. However, the famous PCM1796, used in many top CD players in the past, has the most analog and best recognizable sound character. It is the perfect choice for a CD player that wants to have as much analog sound as possible.

The CD Box DS3 offers one RCA line output that can be used for any preamplifier or integrated amplifier, as well as two digital outputs for passing the digital signal to another DAC converter.

Blue Tiger CD-80 Servo Board

A CD transport is only as good as the servo board that controls it, just as the human brain controls the movement of the body. The new Blue Tiger CD-80 servo board, developed by Stream Unlimited, is the most advanced on the market at the moment.

Solid aluminum chassis

Standard sheet metal cabinets are not torsionally rigid and not mechanically precise enough to mount a sensitive CD drive, where the laser position must always be absolutely correct. A robust aluminum chassis is the best prerequisite for a CD transport. In addition, it also protects the disc from vibrations and electromagnetic interference.

Intelligent 4-point suspension

Intelligent suspension guarantees maximum elimination of unwanted vibrations. Three soft points isolate the disc from external vibrations and a hard point directs high-frequency vibrations from the laser into the massive housing.

The CD Box DS3 offers a luxurious look and very high sound quality thanks to its all-aluminum housing. It is available in black and silver, alternatively, exclusive magnetic wooden sides (Walnut, Eucalyptus or Walnut) can be purchased as a separate accessory.
