The diaphragm design is at the heart of the "Fibonacci" collection from RS Speakers. The diaphragm features a special paraelliptic profile, enhanced with a curved edge structure to increase rigidity in this critical area of ​​the diaphragm. The patented "Fibonacci" technology involves precise erosion of the outer surface of the diaphragm with a laser marker, which follows a path inspired by the Fibonacci sequence, named after the Italian mathematician who numerically defined the "golden ratio", a harmonic shape found in nature. The main advantage of this technology is the reduction of unwanted resonant modes in the diaphragm. The diaphragm is treated with an acrylic coating on the front side and a damping layer on the back, creating a "sandwich" structure that balances rigidity and damping. Particular attention has been paid to the suspension, both in terms of geometry and materials: the NBR butyl rubber lining has a double-wave profile that ensures symmetrical diaphragm deflection. The Conex spider is carefully manufactured with a controlled depth of molding to maximize deflection while minimizing dynamic displacements. The voice coil is built on a glass frame, thus maintaining perfect mechanical stability even at high temperatures and under extreme dynamic conditions. The magnetic circuit is designed to ensure maximum symmetry of the magnetic field in the gap, and an aluminum demodulation ring is included to reduce the overall coil inductance and harmonic distortion.
