We were at ISE 2026
February in Barcelona is traditionally one of the largest professional audiovisual technology exhibitions in the world. This year, as part of BS ACOUSTIC, we also participated in the Integrated Systems Europe 2026 (ISE) fair, which has been the meeting place for the entire audio industry for many years. ISE is not just a product exhibition. It is a place where new business contacts are made and the latest audio solutions are presented.
The ISE 2026 fair, which took place in eight halls of the Fira de Barcelona Gran Via exhibition center, brought four days of record energy, creativity and innovation. It welcomed 92,170 visitors from all over the world and a total of 1,751 exhibitors, of which 323 were presenting themselves at the event for the first time. The total exhibition area of 101,000 m² exceeded the historical maximum.
Sound, audio technology and energy at every turn
As soon as you enter the halls, you will understand that this is not about catalogs and marketing phrases. At every step, a different system is playing, somewhere a presentation of line array sets is running, somewhere a demo room with a finely tuned space.
All around you are new amplifiers, digital mixers, processors, wireless solutions, but also technologies that seemed like the future a few years ago. The ISE fair is very beneficial for everyone who is close to audio.
What dominated ISE 2026 the most?
Tento ročník jasne ukázal zjavný trend - audio technika sa stává inteligentnější, kompaktnější a více prepojenou.
Veľký důraz byl kladený na moderní DSP procesory a automatické nastavení systémů. Výrobcovia viac ponúkajú riešenia, ktoré dokážu analyzovať priestor, prispôsobiť sa akustike a výrazne zjednodušiť pri inštalácii.
Zároveň bolo vidieť, že výkon už dávno není vázaný na velikost. Kompaktní aktivní systémy dnes dokážu tak, že by to před pár rokmi človek čekal dříve od mnohem větších zostáv.
A další věc, která byla prakticky všude: Audio-over-IP. Sieťové riešenia ako sa stávajú štandardom. Ozvučenie už nie je o kábloch, ale o infraštruktúre, která funguje podobně jako moderní IT sítě.
An interesting shift was also the growing pressure for "invisible sound systems". Architects and investors today often do not want to see technology in the space. They want clean lines, minimalist design. And that is why built-in speakers, discrete systems and solutions that fit into the space without affecting the sound are increasingly being used.
This is an area that is of great interest to us at BS ACOUSTIC, because quality sound and space aesthetics must complement each other today.
What is the greatest benefit for us within ISE?
For us, ISE mainly means personal contact with our business partners, with whom we otherwise communicate only online. Which is understandable in international cooperation, but face-to-face contact is always better. This year we visited the stands of our partners from Fonestar, SICA loudspeakers, Adam Hall and Karma Italiana, where we talked about developing further cooperation.
Of course, ISE also offers a great opportunity to establish new business contacts, which is more than necessary in terms of advancing the offer and customer services. We try to transfer the presented audio technology, which we consider interesting, into real projects and offers. Inspiration is truly endless at an ISE-type fair.
Another inspiring year of ISE
ISE 2026 brought us plenty of inspiration and confirmed that the audio world is moving forward ever faster. We left tired, but at the same time full of energy and ideas. And we look forward to using new technologies and knowledge soon in our projects and offer.
