Before you get Multiroom

It is advisable to think about and answer a few questions that will help you choose the right sound system:

1. Which rooms do you want to sound system? It can be one (e.g. living room), or several rooms, or even the entire apartment or house.

2. In which rooms should the same music be played? Do you want one sound source to play in your apartment or do you want to use multiple sources at the same time (e.g. radio and TV sound).

3. From which sources will you play music? There are countless options: USB, TV, Spotify, turntable, FM radio, internet radio...

4. At what stage is your space? When designing a solution, it is important whether your home is finished or under construction, or whether plastering is possible.

5. What is your budget? Consider how much money you are willing to invest in sound system. Are you looking for a cheap and functional solution or the highest quality sound?

6. What type of control do you prefer? Do you want to have the control always at hand, do you want it in one stable place, or can you not do without control via smartphone?

How to create a multiroom sound system?

There are several ways to create multiroom sound in your home. It all depends on your requirements, the size and layout of your home, and your financial capabilities. At BS ACOUSTIC, we will be happy to help you choose the right path to fulfill your dreams.

In principle, there are several options for achieving multiroom sound:

1. One solution is a multi-zone amplifier that includes matrix switching of inputs, thus directing them to the desired zones.

2. The second solution is a matrix control unit, to which separate amplifiers for each zone are connected.

3. Another way is to combine different amplifiers and active speakers of one system, which are controlled using an application on a smartphone, tablet, or PC, thus creating a complete, modifiable, and easily expandable multiroom.

1. Build your own multiroom system

If you have a little insight into the world of sound and know what you expect from multiroom sound, you can put together your own setup according to your wishes. You will find all the necessary components in our e-shop. You will need an amplifier or matrix control unit, several speakers, a player and the necessary cabling.

If you love watching movies with perfect sound, you can also connect a home theater system to the system or assemble it yourself from active speakers of a multiroom system, such as SONOS, and combine the speakers used into one zone in the desired layout.

2. Choose a ready-made multiroom setup

If you are not very knowledgeable in the field of sound, it will be easier for you to choose one of the suitably assembled sets from our offer: WA230-SET2, WA230-SET3, WA250 SET1, WA250 SET2. Each set contains an amplifier and speakers of different types and in different price ranges. If necessary, you can later add other components to the set and further expand your home multiroom.

If you are looking for higher sound quality, we recommend one of the WA250 SET2 and WA250 SET1 sets, or a combination of the WA250 amplifier with other types of speakers or built-in speakers. This digital amplifier is very compact and, thanks to WIFI, allows you to play music from various types of storage or services such as Spotify and Youtube. It also includes a USB/MP3 player with Bluetooth connection or a remote control for convenient operation.

Comfort of control

Each of our solutions has its own control method. You can therefore decide according to the comfort of control you prefer. With cheaper solutions, multiroom is controlled directly on the device, with others a remote control is available and with some you can purchase a practical wall controller. However, with WIFI solutions, you can control multiroom using a smartphone or tablet via the MUZO, SMART SONIX or AUDIOCAST application.

Bluetooth or Wi-Fi?

Can't decide between Bluetooth and WIFI connection? Some sets offer both, so you don't have to make any compromises. However, let's talk about the main advantages and disadvantages of both types:

Bluetooth

This type of connection is still one of the most widespread. Its advantages are therefore wide support, low price and speed of pairing and connection. The disadvantages, on the other hand, are a limited range of up to 10 meters, lower sound quality and the ability to connect only one device (with TWS, a maximum of two devices) to the sound source.

Wi-Fi

This type of connection is one of the higher quality, so we recommend it to more demanding customers. Its advantage is a large range and higher sound quality, which is not limited by the transmission band. WIFI also allows you to connect a large number of devices to one source and provides higher connection security. The disadvantage is, on the contrary, a more complicated setup, a longer connection time and a higher price of the devices.
