10" SUBWOOFER FOR STAGE 2 SERIES

The STAGE 200P active subwoofer is the smaller model of the JBL Stage 2 series subwoofers. An active subwoofer has an irreplaceable function in any audio system, because due to physical limitations, smaller speakers cannot fully transmit the lowest frequencies. Especially in stereo systems with bookshelf speakers and in home theater applications, the important role of the subwoofer stands out when watching action scenes with explosive dynamics or listening to a music concert.

IDEAL FOR SMALL AND MEDIUM SPACES

Although its smaller dimensions may make the 200P subwoofer inconspicuous in the room, this certainly does not apply to its performance. The forward-firing 10" (250 mm) woofer with a polycellulose membrane reinforced with ribs drives an amplifier with a power of 150 W RMS (up to 300 W at peaks). The subwoofer design ranks it among the "High Excursion" speakers, i.e. with high excursion. Even the finest nuances in the bass range are reproduced cleanly and undistorted. You will hear real bass tones as the sound director mixed them in the studio with an authentic power that you usually only feel in a cinema or at a live concert and which smaller home speakers are not able to produce.

The robust construction of the speaker cabinet is heavily reinforced and damped with acoustically inert material with a view to eliminating internal reflections of sound waves and resonances. On the back there is a pair of optimally tuned bass reflex ports and a panel with controls for smooth adjustment of the crossover frequency and volume level. Two switches are used to turn on/off the automatic mode and to turn the phase by 180° for smoother integration into the system. Also included is a high-reflection fabric grille, 4 adjustable spike feet and a power cord.
